Over several months, we worked with a Boston-based advertising agency in their search for a new space to accommodate their growing company. Through this process, we explored spaces at three different locations in the Boston area. Each was designed to maximize employee headcount while including large open-collaborative areas and stadium-stair seating. All studies included proposals for a flexible exterior rooftop space that could support large events in addition to spontaneous everyday gatherings.

Our client considered moving to a newly constructed mid-rise building in the industrial Drydock District. Feature areas, including a sprawling stadium stair and boardroom, take advantage of the expansive views to the channel and harbor. Throughout the plan, we proposed digital screens that related to interior program while projecting the agency’s presence outward to the community.

Our client was interested in a re-development project that was converting a former publication facility into commercial spaces. At this location, we were challenged to distribute all the required programs across one expansive floor plate. We grouped similar programs in large blocks to help provide clarity and orientation. Here, we proposed two facing stadium stairs, both leading to new mezzanines.
