Located in Greenwich Village, the clients presented the challenge of maximizing open living while increasing storage space within the shell of a modest one-bedroom postwar apartment. By swapping the existing kitchen and bath locations, the design takes full advantage of natural light by pushing the living and working spaces towards the window. All storage was designed to be contained within custom millwork, maximizing utility while maintaining a minimal appearance within otherwise tight quarters.
